After weeks of listening and waiting, last evening during shearing, we heard the first nasal "peent" of the woodcocks. This was very exciting since it means that spring is truly finally here. So now we will be out every evening enjoying the show of these odd little birds. Great fun!
Exciting news in the barnyard is that there is a new boy in town. We just got a new ram to us: a 2 year old Coopworth. He's quite handsome and rather "spunky", meaning that you don't want to turn your back on him. Well, they don't call them rams for nothing!
In other spring news, the garden seedlings are starting to grow and it's most exciting to go into the (warm) greenhouse and check on another season's promise (or hope)
